Infiniti G37 Convertible
NY Infiniti G37 Convertible | New York Luxury Cars
Originally offered as a coupe or a sedan, Infiniti gave car buyers an alluring new option when they introduced the popular G as a convertible in 2009. The new retractable-hardtop convertible made its entrance confidently, offering the satisfaction of a quiet cabin when closed; but the excitement only a convertible can bring when the roof is stowed. Even among an impressive group of competitors, Infiniti’s G37 consistently found itself as a favorite choice or experts and drivers alike, for its noteworthy fusion of performance, design and amenity.
Unlike the other G37 models, the convertible comes in only two trim levels – base, and Sport 6MT. The base G37 comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlights, keyless ignition/entry leather upholstery and all the power bells and whistles you would expect in an entry level luxury car. The G37 convertible’s retractable hardtop will hide itself out beneath the trunk lid in less than 30 seconds. The Sport 6MT trim level guarantees enhanced performance features and the six-speed manual transmission. It shows off 18-inch wheels with high-performance tires, a sportier exterior profile and snazzier cabin details, limited-slip rear differential, upgraded brakes, a sport-tuned suspension and seats that supportively cradle you in comfort, especially when upgraded to their ventilated version. If you want to further vamp up your G37 Convertible, you can add one of a variety of packages, including a Sport package which will add 19-inch wheels, a rear spoiler and interior wood detailing. The 20th G Anniversary Editions G Convertible includes both the Premium and Navigation packages; as well as standard climate-controlled seats.
Providing the power behind the G37 convertible is an impressive 3.7-liter V6 that positively roars with 328 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque. Base models come standard with a seven-speed automatic transmission, while the Sport 6MT comes with an exclusive six-speed manual transmission. The G37 Convertibles are rear-wheel drive across the board. Fuel economy ratings clock in at an EPA-estimated 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway in the base model; the Sport will give you one less mile of driving per gallon. The Infiniti G37 line comes standard with stability control, traction control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and active head restraints for the front seats, and the Convertibles have standard pop-up rollbars.
Experts agree that the G37 Convertible delivers exhilarating acceleration and precise handling. It handles twists and turns with confidence, and keeps its wits about it in rough conditions.
